How JewelDraft handles the information you share with our jewelry CAD studio — the contact details, project briefs and files you send when requesting a quote or working with us.
This Privacy Policy is a template provided for reference only. It is not legal advice and should be reviewed and adapted by qualified counsel for your business before it is published.
Introduction
JewelDraft (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a jewelry CAD design and 3D rendering studio that works with casting houses and manufacturers. This policy explains what information we collect when you contact us or request a quote, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to this website and to the CAD projects we deliver.
By contacting us or submitting a quote request, you agree to the handling of your information as described here.
Information we collect
We only collect what we need to respond to your enquiry and deliver your project. This falls into three groups.
Contact details
When you use our Get a Quote form or email us, we collect the details you provide — typically your name, company, email address and WhatsApp or phone number — so we can reply and discuss your project.
Project information
To scope and quote your work, we collect the project details you share: the type of piece, stones and metal, dimensions, quantities, deadlines and any notes about how the model will be cast or finished.
Uploaded files
You can attach files to your quote request — sketches, reference images, hand drawings, photos, spec sheets or existing CAD files (for example Matrix, Rhino, 3Design, STL or 3MF). These files may contain confidential designs, and we treat them accordingly (see File uploads & confidentiality below).
How we use your information
We use the information you provide to:
- respond to your enquiry and prepare a quote and turnaround estimate;
- model, render and deliver the CAD work you commission, including revision rounds;
- communicate with you about the status of a project;
- keep records for invoicing, and to meet legal or accounting obligations.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use your designs, files or contact details for advertising.
File uploads & confidentiality
The references and CAD files you send us are often sensitive, and some are covered by a non-disclosure agreement. We are NDA-safe by default: your designs, molds and client relationships stay entirely yours, and we are glad to sign your NDA — or work under ours — before anything changes hands.
In practice this means we limit access to your files to the studio members working on your project, use them only to deliver the work you have asked for, and do not showcase, share or reuse them without your permission. We keep uploaded files while your project is active and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you request changes, then remove them in line with the retention section below.
Third-party services
We rely on a small number of trusted service providers to run this site and our studio — for example a form or email provider that delivers your quote request to us, website hosting, and file storage used to receive and work on your uploads. These providers process information only on our behalf and to provide their service to us.
We choose providers that offer appropriate security, but we do not control their own practices; please refer to each provider's privacy terms for details of how they handle data.
Cookies & analytics
This site uses only the cookies needed for it to function, plus any privacy-respecting analytics we may use to understand aggregate traffic — such as which pages are visited and roughly where visitors come from. Analytics data is used in aggregate and is not used to identify you personally. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work without them.
Data retention
We keep your information only as long as we need it. Contact and project records are retained while we work together and for a reasonable period afterwards to support follow-up work, invoicing and our legal obligations. Uploaded design files are kept while a project is active and for a limited time after delivery, then deleted or anonymised. You may ask us to remove your files sooner (see below).
Your rights
Depending on where you are based, you may have the right to:
- ask what information we hold about you;
- request that we correct or update it;
- request that we delete your information or uploaded files;
- object to or restrict certain uses of your information.
